What is a Scentsy Scent Circle?
Scentsy Scent Circles, formally know as the “car candle” are wonderful air fresheners usually placed in the car, hanging on the rear view mirror. On a tour of the home office at the 2008 convention, consultants were able to see how scent circles come to life with fragrance. The unscented circle is laid flat in a container of fragrance oils & left long enough to soak up the needed scent. Each circle is then left to drip dry before being carefully packaged for Scentsy customers. Scent Circles come in all fragrances plus leather (And Wow, it really does smell like leather)! They can be purchased as singles or in a multi-pack (buy 5 get one FREE!)
Where can I use a Scentsy Scent Circle?
The main use Scent Circles are know for, is of course to hang on the rearview mirror of the car. Other great uses include hanging in a closet, a workshop, a storage room, or school locker. Where ever you decide to hang your Scent Circle just make sure the disc does not touch anything as it does contain scented oil.
How long do Scent Circles last
I get this question a lot! The answer is the same for all “fragrance on the go” products. It depends on how & where you use it, the temperature where it is being used, & the scent itself. However, a general rule of thumb I tell my customers for Scent Circles is 1-3 months.
If the instructions are followed on the bag it will last longer. Many customers have been so excited to receive their Scentsy Product that they pull the Scent Circle out of the bag, throw the packaging away & hang the scent circle on the rearview mirror of the car. The next time they go to open the car door, the scent is so strong it almost knocks them over over, thus the reason it should be left in the bag. A great tip I give my customers is to purchase “car kits”. You won’t find this at check out, it is simply a scent circle & room spray of the same scent. Leave the scent circle in the bag & when it starts to run out of scent simply spray 1-2 sprays into the bag, onto the scent circle & you have fragrance that will last years. There are over 500 sprays in a room spray!
Temperature also plays a part in how long scents last. A higher temperature will make the scent evaporate faster, thus a scent circle placed in a car in Houston, Texas in July will not last as long as one placed in a car at that same location say in October.
The kind of scent also makes a difference considering the different fragrance notes that make up that particular scent. Citrus scents tend to evaporate faster than other scents, while musky scents last the longest.
