Scentsy has had six straight years of triple digit growth, they now have 73 Consultant Support Representatives (these are all the kind people that help us cute Scentsy Consultants with any questions we might have). Scentsy’s first $6 million day was on 11/30/10. In 2010 this much in product was sold…8.5 million warmers, 354 million bars, 1.4 million room sprays, 3.5 million scent circles, & 1.5 million travel tins. And just think Heidi, Orville, & a handful of consultants used to pour bars by hand. Yikes! On an average day 4,000 customer orders are received; 38 bathtubs worth of wax are poured; 12,000 boxes are packed; 6 semi-trailers are filled & shipped with those boxes, & 6 school buses could be filled with newly enrolled Scentsy Consultants! Orville & Heidi believe in the philosophy “Give More Than You Take”. The last several years Scentsy has been involved in several giving opportunities. At the 2010 convention in Denver, they gave the opportunity to Scentsy Consultants to donate clothing to a local charity & to donate change for Wednesday’s Child in Boise. FAQ’s Related To Joining Scentsy & Becoming A Scentsy Consultant
Q: How much does it cost to become a consultant?
A: $99 in the US & $119 in Cananda (does not include shipping or tax)
Q: Will I get training?
A: Yes, training is provided by your sponsor (the scentsy consultant who you sign under). Other trainings include live trainings in your area provided by local consultants or Scentsy (during a world tour), phone calls, training on scentsy’s website & once a year by top leaders at convention.
Q: Are there sales requirements?
A: Yes, you will need to sell $150 dollars in a given month during a 3 consecutive month period to stay active as a consultant. For example if a consultant sells $150 in the month of January, they would need to sell $150 again in April to remain a consultant.
Q: Are consultants required to have a certain number of parties?
A: No. That’s what is so great about Scentsy. You can do Scentsy to fit your schedule. I worked hard before I had my baby & just served repeat customers after my baby was born. Now, I have picked up my business again. You get to work Scentsy around your life.
Q: Can I sell in retail establishments?
A: No. Scentsy Consultants may not sell in stores or other retail establishments such as kiosks in the mall.
Q: Can I sell online?
A: Yes, when you sign up to become a consultant, Scentsy will give you a website that is free for the first 3 months, then $10 every month after that. You may use this to sell or you can make your own external site that links to the Scentsy site. However, consultants can not sell on online auction sites such as ebay, craigslist, etc.
Q: How much can I expect to earn as a Scentsy Consultant?
A: There isn’t a one size fits all answer to this question because it is completely up to you. The amount you earn is based upon why you signed up & the amount of time you put into your business. If you sign up to make Scentsy a business to provide income for your family, you will make much more than someone who signs up to get free product every once in awhile. Consultants earn anywhere between 20%-30% on their own sales & get paid bonuses on sales of consultants they have recruited. Some consultants sell only enough to get some free product for themselves & family, others earn enough to make a car or mortgage payment, while others such as some Super Star Directors bring in a six figure income. It is completely up to you.
Q: Is the market saturated?
A: No. I still run into people in Utah (where Scentsy started) that have never heard of Scentsy. Customers are easy to find where Scentsy is well known & it is exciting to teach potential customers about Scentsy where it is not known. The Scentsy opportunity is what you make of it. Scentsy is still only in the United States, Puerto Rico, & Canada & is opening in the United Kingdom & Germany in the spring! Imagine the global explosion when Scentsy opens in more countries.
